Tuna & White Bean Salad

 If you’re looking for a tasty, super-easy meal, we’ve got you covered. Canned tuna and Michigan Beans, blended with flavorful ingredients make a perfect combination, and so simple!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (7 ounce can) tuna in water, drained 
  • 1 (15 ounce can) Michigan Cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
  • 3 tablespoons capers
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons oil packed sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon light mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 – 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, depending on your taste
  • Mixed greens and wheat pitas, or crackers for serving

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place tuna in a medium bowl and flake with a fork.  Add remaining ingredients and mix well to combine. 
  2. Serve in wheat pitas with greens or as a dip with crackers.
