- 1 (15-ounce) cans Dark Red Kidney Beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 pound lean ground beef
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 (14-1/2-ounce) can whole tomatoes, do not drain
- Brown beef, garlic, and onion in large saucepan.
- When meat browns, add beans, tomatoes, chili powder, and cumin.
- Mix well, mashing tomatoes.
- Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
- Add salt and pepper to taste, if desired.
