  • 1 (15-ounce) cans Dark Red Kidney Beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 (14-1/2-ounce) can whole tomatoes, do not drain


  1. Brown beef, garlic, and onion in large saucepan.
  2. When meat browns, add beans, tomatoes, chili powder, and cumin.
  3. Mix well, mashing tomatoes.
  4. Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste, if desired.
